When logging in with Microsoft, you will stay logged in until you manually log out. It is advised to log out of the platform whenever you leave your device unattended. 

It's also important that your iPad has a sensible level of security: A six-digit login code, Touch ID or facial recognition.

Your IT department should have set that as the default so that others cannot access your iPad and see any of your information.
