How can I create multiple sections on a risk?
print icon

As a broker, you can create more than one section on a risk.

On a multi-sectioned risk:

  • You can add and remove sections up until the risk is signed.
  • You cannot edit or remove sections if there is a line guidance or written line for that section (unless you withdraw the firm orders or the carrier(s) decline them and there are no outstanding firm orders with carrier(s)).

  • You cannot have two sections with the same section title (to avoid confusion).

  • You are able to order sections by type of ID: numerical (1, 2, 3...), alphabetical (a, b, c...), uppercase (A, B, C...), roman numerals (I, II, III... i, ii, iii...)

  • The slipcover will show if the risk has been sectioned.

To create a multi-sectioned risk:

Instructions

  1. Select the slip that you wish to add section(s) to.
  2. Select 'Risk Settings' (or the three dots on iOS) to open the risk settings menu.
  3. Select 'Sections'.
    • Select 'Manage Sections' (browser only)
  4. Click the plus icon (+) to add section(s).
  5. Type in the ID and Name of your section(s).
  6. Click 'Add'.
  7. Click the cross icon (x) (swipe across the section title on iOS) if you wish to remove your section(s).
  8. Click 'Cancel' if you wish to exit.
  9. Once you have added your section(s), click 'Done' to save your changes.
  10. Once you have created a section, you now also have the option to select the grey icon with 'Section' to open the sections sidebar (iOS only).
